A global leader in specialty chemicals is seeking an experienced Environmental Protection and Permitting Engineer for an exciting opportunity at their Cologne site.
In this role, you will manage and oversee permitting processes for emissions and water-related activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. Acting as the key liaison with regulatory authorities, you will lead critical discussions, inspections, and approvals. You will also play a pivotal role in developing long-term environmental strategies, maintaining compliance with ISO standards, and enhancing operational sustainability.
This position will suit a proactive professional with a strong background in chemical or process engineering, coupled with expertise in German environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Degree in process, mechanical, or chemical engineering (or related field).
Extensive experience with permitting processes and regulatory compliance in industrial settings.
Expertise in water protection, emissions regulations, and ISO standards.
Fluency in German and English.

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Project Engineering Manager for a global chemical manufacturer at their site near Stuttgart.
As a Senior Project Engineering Manager, you’ll take charge of managing engineering projects from the initial development phase through to commissioning and startup. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the plant’s Capital Plan, ensuring it aligns with both regional strategies and local needs. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including EHS, Maintenance, and Plant Management, to ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and financial standards.
You will oversee the technical development of projects, manage cost controls, and ensure compliance with EHS requirements, particularly those related to Process Safety Management. Additionally, you will lead efforts to optimise production methods, improve facility and machinery design, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Role Requirements:
Degree in relevant field such as Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Extensive experience in coatings manufacturing and project management
Business fluency in English and German.
Strong leadership and change management skills.
