To be considered for the role of QC Lab Manager you must have previous experience in managing a QC team in either a chemical or mechanical laboratory.
As a QC Lab Manager you will be responsible for managing the mechanical and chemical testing labs to achieve the production plan in a timely manner to aerospace quality & testing standards.
Role requirements
Degree qualified in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or a closely related subject.
Previous experience in managing a QC Laboratory.
Test method validation, equipment qualification, lean & continuous improvement experience.
Strong understanding and experience of various quality standards including AS9100, ISO9001 and NADCAP.
Any experience in working with composite materials for Aerospace application will be beneficial.
Role responsibilities
Ensure testing practices are completed in a timely manner to ensure the on time dispatch of high quality products with the known test results.
Ensure cohesion between both the mechanical and chemical laboratory whilst maintain high quality standards.
Actively drive continuous improvement on the lab systems and processes through the QC test methods.
Develop the use of 5S and lean methodologies and working practices across the labs.

As a Mechanical Testing Technician, you will be responsible for mechanically testing adhesive and composite materials using various international or customer standards tests.
To be considered for the role of Mechanical Testing Technician you must have experience in mechanical testing whether from education or industrial experience. Bachelors degree is highly desirable, as is a HNC/HND.
People without educational qualifications are also encouraged to apply as long as you have mechanical testing experience.
This position will be on a shift basis working a two or three shift pattern. Shift allowance will be added on top of your salary, 2 shift pattern equates to 10% and 3 shift equates to 16.67% of an uplift to salary on offer.
