An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Expert at a leading polymers company based in the Greater Manchester area. As Technical Expert you will be heavily involved in R&D projects to ensure new products are delivered efficiently. You will also be responsible for providing technical support to customers.
To be considered for this Technical Expert position you will have a background in developing polymeric materials. You will also be degree educated in Chemistry or a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the introduction of new products into manufacturing.
Solve manufacturing problems.
Act as technical support to customers.
Liaise with the Sales team.
Participate in R&D projects.
Travel to support sales and technical queries.
Optimise processes.
Requirements:
Experience in a technical role within the polymers industry is essential: inks, films, pigments.
Degree educated in Chemistry or a relevant field.
Knowledge of 6 sigma is highly desirable.
Project management skills is preferred.

As Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for assisting the development of products within the polymers industry: coatings, inks, pigments. You will also be responsible for conducting tests on materials and end products.

I am recruiting for a QC Manager to join a market leader in their field. This role has come about due to internal promotion, so they are eager to hire an experienced QC Manager with a background in the chemical sector, supervising and leading a team and hands on analytical techniques.
What are the main responsibilities?
Ensuring products meet correct specification prior to being delivered to clients
Leading investigations related to the QC department and implementing corrective actions
Identifying business improvements using investigation data
Managing the QC team, handling disputes and taking responsibility for staff development and training
Who are they looking for?
BSc Chemistry or equivalent
Experience working in a chemicals QC environment including using HPLC, GC-MS and wet chemistry techniques
Supervisory or line management experience
Available to travel internationally when required
