My client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team at a well-established chemical company based near Bristol. This role will support the research and development department, focusing on testing, analysing, and preparing materials for various product lines.
To be considered for this Laboratory Technician position you will be degree educated in a Scientific discipline. You will also have a strong willingness to learn as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and specialised laboratory tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Perform sample preparation and analysis using various analytical techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and other standard lab equipment.
Record and interpret test results, ensuring data accuracy and quality compliance.
Assist in the development of new formulations and products by conducting experiments and trials.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to support ongoing projects and objectives.
Support senior scientists and technicians with day-to-day laboratory operations and projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
A degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within the chemical industry, is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a lab setting.

If so, I am currently working with a client based in Wales, who are looking for a Senior Analytical Chemist to join them. The role will be supporting a renowned and expanding team of scientists we now require a full time, permanent, experienced Analytical Chemist. This is a career development opportunity to work with, and learn from, a team of experienced Analytical Chemists, and work on a variety of technically challenging projects. The role involves analytical testing using a range of techniques, such as GC, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, Ion Chromatography, IR & wet chemistry methods. This is a predominantly laboratory based position, with good prospects for learning and progression.
They are looking for someone with the following:
BSc Chemistry (or equivalent)
Experience working in an Analytical Chemistry laboratory
Prior experience working in a GLP environment
Experience with/or working knowledge of regulatory procedures
