Are you an experienced Molecular Biologist?

Do you have experience working with Oligonucleotides, Protein Assays and Assay Development?

I am working with an early-stage biotechnology company, who are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Principal Scientist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit team from the early stages as we work to unlock a new class of therapeutic drugs.

Reporting to the Head of Biology, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Biology team responsible for leading assay development in pre-clinical programs for disease targets in relevant cell and animal models, screening candidate compounds and helping to drive programs forward.

Who are they looking for?

  • PhD in cell or molecular biology, biochemistry or a related discipline
  • Expertise in protein quantification assays (western blot and ELISA)
  • Experience with cell culture practices, including cell line maintenance and cell-based downstream assays including nucleic acid transfection
  • Experience in a wide range of molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, luciferase assays
  • Experience in designing, overseeing or managing CROs for execution of in vivo rodent studies
  • Experience working with oligonucleotide based drug modalities would be desirable

If this sounds like you, do not hesitate to apply with an up to date copy of your CV in word format (no more than 2 sides of A4).
