Based in Charlotte the Senior Coatings Formulation Chemist will be responsible for developing and optimizing a range of industrial coatings from a customer first perspective to continue the firm’s leadership position in its sector. The role is for a laboratory-based innovator and subject matter expert, who is keen to be visible internally and externally as such. Your day to day duties as a Senior Coatings Formulation Chemist will be:

• Executing laboratory-based projects to invent new products
• Optimizing existing coatings products
• Generating analytical and other performance-related data
• Collaborate with external and internal partners to promote products

You will be an ideal candidate with this background:

• A proven track record in solvent-borne industrial coatings R&D
• A higher degree, or equivalent, in a relevant chemistry or engineering field
• The desire to be seen as a high-level technical expert
• A good team-working approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior presentations at industry body events and conferences
